It is estimated that more than 1 million tonnes of textiles are thrown away each year! Currently we only recycle 25% of textiles and textiles account for 3% of household waste.
Roberts Recycling can re-use and recycle almost any type of wearable textile, including Shirts, Shoes, Belts Etc.
Textiles unsuitable for re-use are then recycled and cottons & linen are cut down to be re-used as industrial wipes. Materials such as wool are 'pulled' and made into fresh yarn or re-used as felt for stuffing upholstery.
We would like to encourage our supporters to put wearable clothes, shoes and other textiles into plastic bags and take them to a textile bank. Textile banks are located at:

WORKPLACES - Textile Recycling Boxes
Could your workplace support our textile recycling challenge by having one of these boxes on your premises? The boxes are 88cm(w) x 88cm(d) x 120cm (h) so are the perfect size for your reception area or office. Having one of these boxes would encourage all staff to donate their old or unwanted clothes and by doing so raising awareness and funds for your local baby hospice. Please get in touch if you could help us out and we will arrange delivery of the box and our partners, Roberts Recycling will come along and collect the items once the box is full.
