Calling all the HEROES........
Published date: 06 October 2017
Can you be a ‘One Hour Hero’?
Hospice Care week runs from 9th – 15th October and this year we are focusing on the importance of respite care. Each hour of specialist nursing care at Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice, Coventry, costs £25 per child. However, this one hour of respite is invaluable to the parents who are caring for children with life limiting conditions.
It means that a family has a chance to rest, talk, complete jobs or simply ‘be normal’ in the knowledge that their child is safe, cared for and stimulated by specialist staff in our home from home environment. Currently we are unable to operate at full capacity, and as we have a waiting list, our goal is to provide more support for more families.
Will you take on our ‘one hour hero’ challenge? Could you organise a fundraiser for one hour (or thereabouts!) with the aim of raising one hours’ worth of care? It could be a cake sale, sponsored walk, coffee morning, a car boot sale, football match, karaoke night… I’m sure you will have some ideas of your own!
Wouldn’t it be amazing if together we could sponsor 24 hours a day for 7 days during Hospice Care week!
So grab your cape and accept your mission to be a #OneHourHero and YOU can make a difference. For more information and inspiration just get in touch with the fundraising team on 024 7636 1675.
