Meet Emilia…

Emilia was born in November 2018. After a brain injury at birth, she had to stay in hospital. They later found out she would live with cerebral palsy and epilepsy. Having no idea what the future would hold, just two days before Christmas, Emilia could go home.
A few months passed, and although Emilia was going from strength to strength, “everything else was falling apart”. For Lynne, having a baby with complex needs was tough and she felt like “asking for help was failing”. It was hard for grandparents and family to step in. Then, Emilia’s Aunty found Zoe’s Place.

Zoe’s Place made a huge difference to the whole family. Lynne was given advice on how to make home life easier and could spend time with her two older daughters. Emilia finds joy at Zoe’s Place and can be herself. Against all odds, Emilia is now graduating and heading off to school.

Lynne wishes that Zoe’s Place could be bigger, have more locations and support people further afield. Zoe’s Place have been a “lifeline” for the Lawson family, and we want to wish Emilia…

The best of luck on her next adventure!
