BTR is delighted to bring back the Women’s 10K event to Liverpool in 2024.

Back in the 1980’s the Women’s 10K event was one of the very first women only events in the country and was hosted in Sefton Park by Liverpool City Council.

Recently there has been a resurgence of interest in women’s events, particularly in Scotland and BTR will be bringing back this legendary event to Sefton Park in September 2024.

Alan Rothwell, race Director at BTR said… “back in the 80’s and 90’s the Liverpool Women’s 10K was one of the most popular running events ever hosted in the city and it generated a unique atmosphere in the fantastic setting of Sefton Park. 

It seems appropriate that with a resurgence in interest in women’s running that we are bringing back this iconic event to Sefton Park which was the original home of the Women’s 10K.”
