Middlesbrough hospice
Opened in 2004, our Middlesbrough hospice provides respite, end of life and palliative care for babies, infants and children from across the Teesside – and wider North East region – with life-limiting conditions and complex needs.
Our six-bedroom hospice has a state of the art sensory room, soft play, outdoor play area and garden.
Interaction with animals, music, art and physiotherapy is incorporated in to our day to day activities, and we also have counselling therapies and bereavement support groups. Families can also stay overnight in our specialist bereavement suite.
Zoe’s Place Middlesbrough celebrates 20th Anniversary this year!
This year, Zoe’s Place in Middlesbrough celebrates 20 years of providing care to local families and children. However, we’d like to keep providing our services for another 20 years and beyond – and YOU can help!

How we can help
The core focus of our work is providing short break stays for children who are either very poorly or undergoing treatments which need intensive nursing. Stays can vary from day care, overnight stays to longer breaks which enables families to go on holiday.
We also offer end of life care for children. Our bereavement suites with overnight accommodation and specialist facilities mean families that choose to use our services are able to have precious time to say goodbye to their child.
