Zoe’s Place Update on Children’s Hospice Grant
Our Executive Trustee at Zoe’s Place responded to Wes Streeting’s recent announcement on BBC Radio 4 that the Children’s Hospice Grant will continue:
“It is fantastic to hear confirmation that the grant will continue. We are grateful to Wes Streeting for recognising the importance of the grant in supporting the essential care we provide.
The Children’s Hospice Grant, worth £25 million annually, supports all children’s hospices in England, including Zoe’s Place, in delivering specialist care for children with life-limiting conditions. However, the majority of our funding still relies on donations and fundraising in the local communities. We look forward to clarity on how the grant will be distributed and would welcome discussions on ensuring the grant is inflation-linked in the future, to help meet the rising costs of care.
